I can't believe it's been a tad over a month since my knee surgery. I'm doing much better in regards to the knee pain and we've been strengthening the crud out of my hamstrings.
But, I'm having a LOT of pain with what my PT calls the "external hip rotator". Basically say I'm sitting in a chair like normal and take my right leg and lift my left leg up from next to my right and lift it while keeping it next to my left leg. This causes that rotator hip to "engage" and causes a really bad sharp pain. Unfortunately, in my past experience a
sharp pain is never a good thing. My PT seems to be in a bit of a quandary as to what else we can do to eliminate it too. So we started doing more ice and more ultra sounds. The hamstrings are still quite sore, but definitely stronger. Enough of that nonsense.
I'm doing TAW (temporary alternative work) at work. It's boring but I've been filling in the boring times with my exercises on non-PT days, knitting, yakking, swimming on lunch, and for a few days not I've gone over to the offices and helped with some filing. At least I'm breaking up my day!
Ahhh, the knitting. I'm sooooo close to being done with the baby blanket for my cousin, Linda. The shower is Sunday! I'm cutting it close. The blanket looks really, really good! I have one more stripe of colors done that aren't pictured in the above picture.
