Tree sweater in progress

I've been wanting to knit a tree sweater for a while and when Winter appeared again on Thursday I decided it was an appropriate to give it a whirl. The first photo is the work in progress and the second photo is my paper model that I made of the tree.

The tree I've chosen is a maple, it has two branches directly across from each other and is in the little park at the beginning of my block.
